Standing next to baby Saguaro

Joshua Tree

Bobby & I took a drive down Alamo Rd, 35 miles from Havasu, wanted to find a new place for my hiking group to explore.   What an amazing area we located.   It will mean taking our lunch since it's 45 miles one way, but I think it's worth the trip.   Had the opportunity to see one of the largest Saguaro & Cholla Cactus areas around this area.   Can't wait for the desert to start blooming, this area will be beautiful.   We only drove about 35 miles down Alamo Rd, weather was starting to turning and we did not want to be caught in a flash flood.   Had we continued, we would have ran into Alamo Lake.....or at least that is what we've been told.   The road is dirt and at times, quite rough.
One of the many cactus's we saw

Our hikes started in November and have continued weekly.   We'll end them in April when the snakes (rattlers) come out and I call it quits!   Have no desire to see them or meet another one.   Have seen two in the past 3 yrs and that's enough!!!!
