Walker Lake

Left Hawthorne around 9:00 AM and got to Fallon around 10:00 AM.  Just outside of Hawthorne is Walker Lake, it's 300' deep and not sure how long, but it's huge.   However it is no longer used as a recreational area....not sure why.

Got to Fallon and decided to stay at the Bonanza Casino....only $15 a night. Went out to the Stillwater Wildlife Refuge, saw American White Pelicans, they are so beautiful.

We then tried to get onto the military base as this is home of the F-18 Top Gun training. We knew it was a long shot......did not work. We could see them from a distance, but not as close as I wanted.

Got back to the coach, Bobby stayed to watch a movie while I went out and looked around at a nursery.   Lot's of nice plants and yard art....did not buy anything but was fun to look.

We go into the casino later as they gave us free stuff when we checked in, you know me....like playing the penny machines!

Tomorrow we head for Reno where we'll stay 3 days.
