Hoodsport, WA 2015

Bobby cooking hamburgers
Did not do much this morning, as we are helping Carl at his golf tournament this afternoon.

Around 1 PM, we headed to the golf course to catch up with Carl.  He was still on the course, so Bobby talked to some of the others and found out what he need to do to cook the hamburgers and hotdogs.

At about 2:00, the tournament was over and everyone ate.   Neither Carl nor Brian placed in the money, but Linda Hall's boyfriend to 1st gross.   He's very good.

Got home around 4, watched TV and I took a walk.   At about 6, Carl and Brian came over to say goodbye.  Apparently the girls were home from the shopping trip to Olympia.   We'll see them in Havasu in October or November

We went to Shelton, WA to visit with Scott & Ali.   Bobby has known Scotty since he was born, so he's like a son to us.   It's amazing to see how he's turned into this amazing gentleman, so hard to believe he's almost 47...that sure makes us feel old...lol.   Visited with them for about 3 hrs, then headed back to Hoodsport.

Carl came over and visited around 3, we agreed that once the others got back from their hike, we'd come over and have dinner.

We took the shrimp that Scotty gave us and cooked them as an appetizer on their BBQ.   They were so good....cooked 80 and none were left.   Bettie and Dorothy fixed spaghetti, which was delicious but I certainly didn't need after the shrimp!!!

Tomorrow is Carl's annual golf tournament, so we agreed to meet at 1PM to help cook the hamburgers.

Had breakfast and then drove over to Carl's, as the group is going on a hike to the "Staircase" in the Olympic National Forest.   We did this hike two years ago, so will be interesting to see the difference with no water!

The park was packed and we barely found a place to park.   With weather so warm, everyone is out trying to stay cool by hiking or playing in Lake Cushman.

The six of us start out and like always, explore every crook and nanny I can find.   I love the all the old fallen trees, the river (which is extremely low), etc.

View from the bridge
River is really low but still beautiful
The hike is 2 miles, so doesn't take us that long, even with all the stops.   Bobby & I drove ourselves, so after the hike, we go home to have lunch.  After about an hour, Carl calls to invite us to have margaritas with them at the local Mexican restraint.   They were delicious!

We agree to meet at their house for dinner, where they cooked steak and all the trimmings.   Great hosts these two are.   We visited for awhile and then headed back to the coach.
