Lighthouse on the base of Blue Angels
Notice how they carry their gear
Headed to the beach of Gulf Shores.  First stop was the public fishing dock, had to pay $2 just to go out on it but got to see a Tuna and King Salmon caught.   The people are very serious when it comes to their fishing, look at how they haul their equipment.  We played in the water a little, then went and did some geocashing

The Blue Angels are practicing today so we slowly headed to their facility, stopping along the way to look at various places.   We were told to be there by 10:30 and bring our chairs, as the bleachers fill up fast.  That's an understatement, they were full when we arrived at 10:30 and they hold 1,000 people, they start at 11:30 and it was very hot and humid.  Thank goodness we also took our beach umbrella, which others enjoyed too!

Blue Angels
Blue Angels Museum
The Blue Angles put on an amazing display that last approx 1 hr.   Once they are done, Fat Albert flies, he's their maintenance plane.   The entire show is well worth your time!

Next we went into the museum, that took another 2 hrs to walk thru.   Afterwards we stopped at the lighthouse, Bobby had on this thongs and they are not allowed, so we couldn't walk up the tower.   Besides, it was extremely hot and it's not air conditioned.

Headed for home around 4:30, stopping at the beach to play in the gulf.   Did not have our swimsuits, so only got a little wet.  Long day but had so much fun.

Mobile, AL
Our destination today is Foley, AL, where we'll spend the next three days at the Foley Elks Lodge.   We left around 9 and after stopping at Camping World, we arrived around 1:00.   I needed to catch up on bills, etc. so we had lunch and I did my chores.  Afterwards I went to the visitors center to get my reading material so we can start exploring tomorrow.

We drove through Mobile, AL on the way but did not stop.   Next time, we'll go into Mobile, we did see the USS Alabama.

The Elks lodge is across the street from a major outlet mall, so I will be visiting one night!!!
