What an amazing place....for the past two days we have toured the park.  First day we did the lower loop and today 1/2 of the upper loop.   this loop is closed on the eastside due to the weather.   It was a great day for both trips. We saw many geysers, various animals, snowed covered mountains, waterfalls, etc.   I can't say enough about this park.   It's much bigger and more beautiful than I remember it as a kid.

Left Portland

Bobby left Portland on October 7th and headed for Eugene, where we had some drawers installed under the stove.   He left on October 9th and headed for Prineville, OR where he caught up with me and our friends the Lamothe's, Cathy and I were in Lincoln City attending an Insurance Women's State Conference. We then continued on to Mitchell, where we saw the John Day Fossil Beds and the Painted Hills.  The Painted Hills were amazing.  Mitchell is a very small (OK, extremely small) town.   Don't blink or you'll miss it.  We did see deer, elk, antelope, wild turkeys, etc.
